Week 7: Revision

So here it is... my sixth post! It seems like only weeks ago that I was a blogger N00b, posting my very first post... Oh wait, that was only a couple of weeks ago.

Anyways, in the 7 weeks of my intense intellectual enlightenment through the subject MPI104 (not that I'm sucking up or anything... but if I was, would it work?), I have been privy to sites and general information that I had not previously been aware of.
Some such things are;

1. First of all we were introduced to the wonderful world of blogger. Previously I had not been in the possession of a blog due to my general dislike of them; but surprisingly enough its not so bad. This is a good way to keep in contact with friends and comment on their sites, store links to websites that you enjoy, upload videos and photos and of course; spread the enlightenment of your every thought onto the general population. Of all my posts my personal favourite would have to be this one... but that's just because it is a picture of my puppy... Another positive about blogger is its ability to be able to be modified by every user in order to suit their taste. Specifically in my blog I have changed the colour pattern (several times), the font, the font size, inserted borders and even animated the text.

2. The next week was the week of Flickr! As you may have previously read I had a negative reaction to it at first (due to the exceptionally annoying and extremely pointless removal of a certain VOWEL!) But since this lesson the practicality of Flickr as a website has grown on me, and I now find myself bored and searching through random peoples photos and even making an alternate account for personal use outside of class. On my class flickr account I have uploaded 10 photos, Here are my three favourite images. They would have to be my favourites as they are of my friends and family and remind me of fun times :)

3. Then onto Del.icio.us. Delicious is a book marking website that enables you to access places that you have bookmarked no matter what computer you are on. On my delicious account I have 14 saved bookmarks. These mostly consist of the blogs and flickr accounts of my fellow classmates. This allows for easy access to them all during each class. I don't really have favourites out of these but if I had to choose; Bridgets blog, Annas Blog and Anishas Blog.

We have also looked at templates and CSS, which was the basis of refurbishing my blog several times.

So there you have it! My progress so far!
